12:30 pm IST: Amitabh Choudhary, the BCCI acting secretary, is the first person to arrive for the meeting in Mumbai. The interviews will be conducted by the three-member CAC.

Former team director Ravi Shastri is the front-runner to get the job, which is an open secret. The CAC meets in Mumbai today to scrutinise the candidates for the high-profile job.

For the record, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had received the CVs of Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Dodda Ganesh, Lalchand Rajput, Lance Klusener, Rakesh Sharma, Phil Simmons and Upendranath Bramhachari.

Shastri was the Indian cricket team director from 2014 to 2016 before Anil Kumble took over. Kumble had an acrimonious end to his one-year tenure after falling out with India captain Virat Kohli.
